The SPS technology significantly increases the long term stability of an IgM antibody after β-irradiation (E-beam) with 25 kGy.

The figure demonstrates that LEUKOCARE’s SPS® technologies significantly increase the long term stability of an IgM antibody.

A surface coupled IgM antibody was formulated and stabilized with SPS®. During accelerated aging at 45 °C for 60 days, equivalent to a real time storage period of 3 years at 4°C, the control antibody showed a strong decrease in biologic activity (here induction of apoptosis) while biological activity of the SPS® stabilized antibody was fully maintained.

Immediately after β-irradiation (E-beam) with 25 kGy the control antibody demonstrated a strong decrease in biological activity. In contrast the biological activity of the SPS® stabilized antibody was mainly maintained after β-irradiation and during the following accelerated aging.
